Arezzo

So there's a small city in Tuscany that is really close to Florence and it's known as Arezzo. I went running this morning and that was pretty good. Again up to Piazza Michelangelo, cause the view is amazing:
I was supposed to go to the diner for some breakfast food this morning (can you say French toast) but everyone cancelled on me and I'm not going to eat in the diner by myself. So I was like forget it. Instead I just got on a train headed to Arezzo  because it was the first place I saw. Okay i might've skipped a little bit there. I know very little about how Italian train systems work. But it was 7.50 euro to get there and 7.50 back. At first I thought I got on the wrong train, so I switched and that turned out to be the wrong train so then I went back to the original which was actually the right train. But it's safe to say I was nervous the entire time I was on the wrong train. If you're on the wrong train in Italy you get hit with a fine. And it's pretty hefty (like 50 Euro). Also if I get lost I could miss my soccer game tonight. So it's safe to say I had a lot riding on it.
Well on the way there I basically typed up my blog and looked out the window. Some weird guy sat in the seat opposite mine and held his phone up to his ear the whole time and laughed a lot. Also there was some really weird music on. Like really weird. Later in the ride I realized that it was just the weird guys phone (so I have no idea why he held it up to his phone or laughed cause I thought he was just in the phone the whole time  it I guess he never really spoke soooo.... That's a little odd, but I rolled with it. Arezzo was a little odd as well. It was pretty big I guess but smaller than Florence. Much more urban, I think. Somehow I ended up at a park. Even before that I got pizza though and the lady there was really sweet. I was only in Arezzo  for a short period of time (like an hour) but it looked like a nice quaint little city. One of the weird things was how hard it is to find the bathroom. I even went into a casino to find one. It didn't work. I've never been to a casino before but I had high expectations. I was disappointed. It was pretty sketchy in there, it was noon, and the bathroom had a sign on it saying it was only for customers. So I exited as soon as possible to be sure that I was not stabbed. Which I wasn't luckily. Also there were 3 other casinos on the way to the train station (I've heard Italians have a big gambling problem nationwide). I eventually just paid to use the bathroom at the train station. The guy in front of me couldn't get the machine to work so he forced his way in, smiled and said something to me in Italian. The machine accepted my money. I then tried to exit and it really didn't work. So I pushed out but you're only supposed to do that for emergencies and the door didn't close after me so I really hope I don't get in trouble later (I thought I was gonna miss my train!). Then I validated my ticket and hopped on the train to Firenze Santa Maria Novella. But Arezzo was good:
And then the train ride back where I'm typing this now on my phone isn't too bad:
Soccer game tonight and then free day tomorrow. Arrivederci America!
