Croatian waterfall

So the last day was time for me to wake up and get ready to go back home to Florence. A lot of the kids had a lot of trouble waking up because they were hung over. We were supposed to leave at 10:15 and we couldn't because a lot of the kids didn't come down until 10:15 AM and they demanded they eat breakfast before we go. So we were already losing some time that we were supposed to be using for a national park. It was really irritating because they were wasting our time. It didn't really matter though because the bus was late.
Darcy and I still got the back 5 bus seats, just for the two of us and that was awesome. They put on the 40 Year Old Virgin and that's one of my favorite movies and I loved watching it with Darcy. She pretended like it was too vulgar, but we both know she loved it. I would turn and catch her laughing throughout the movie. The countryside of Croatia seemed kind of dry and kind of lame but when we finally got to the park it was so pretty. To get to the park, we had to drive down this giant hill and the views were awesome:
After we parked in the ridiculously small parking lot we walked down the hill which was not so bad when you don't think about the fact that what you walk down in Europe, you almost certainly have to walk up. And it was a long, steep walk. Luckily it was beautiful all the time:
Just the beautiful sights surrounded us everywhere, and I think a lot of people were just missing it by not looking around enough:
Yes, this was the view from above the waterfalls:
There were plenty of smaller waterfalls or Rapids on the way down to the big one:
We had to walk over this old bridge and that was really, really scary:
More Rapids/ tiny waterfalls:

A different view from the top of the waterfall and it was awesome:
The view of the waterfalls from a high point because this path took us out around the waterfalls in the craziest points possible:
This was just the prettiest picture I could take:
This is the view of the waterfalls:
This is me in front of the waterfalls, just to prove I was there:
Kathleen obviously wanted a picture with me:

Excellent photography skills with a finger in the way:
The waterfall was amazing. It was well worth the wait and the long walk up and down the hill. The water was freezing and even though it was cold, how do you not swim right next to a waterfall? Also, when I say cold, I mean cold. According to the ranger it was about 49 degrees Fahrenheit. So cold that my body started to get numb as I was swimming so I got out quickly. There were plenty of rocks underneath the waters so no one dove in and the rocks were covered in a slippery slime, so we tried not to stand on them. Also we couldn't swim close to the falls because we were told the pressure was so great, that it was rather dangerous. So we mainly just watched the falls. We got a nice lunch at the only restaurant at the park. Despite the monopoly the restaurant had, the prices were pretty good. Afterwards two girls who had extra Croatian currency gave us their extras and we got ice cream and that was awesome. All together, it was a pretty good trip.
The whole team from the Croatia trip:
The beautiful views as the trip ends:

We actually got stopped at the Slovenian border and they checked us all and stamped our passports. It was kind of cool. Other than that, it was a pretty uneventful trip back. I can't wait to go back to Croatia one day:
